Presentation of trends in Kenya conservation showed that decline in the numbers of elephants and other major wild life attractions has been halted in recent years in Kenya, and now is slowly climbing again, partly because conservation proponents have been successful in persuading communities and poachers that it is vital to their interests to preserve their heritage and keep tourists coming to Kenya to see it and, as well, enjoy the warmth and hospitality of the 44 cultures that make up the tribes of the country.
