Dear guests of the French-American Foundation,

We would like to thank you for joining us for a great discussion and holiday reception at the Century Association last evening. I thought the comments by Consul General Lortholary were very insightful and demonstrated the ongoing commitment our two nations have toward maintaining strong and productive relations. As our dear friends – David Bellos, Sophie L’Hélias Delattre, and Calvin Sims – shared in their conversation with President Charles Kolb, this is a great indication of the potential for the work of the French-American Foundation and the ventures we will be pursuing in the new year.

For those of you who are new to the Foundation, I invite you to learn more about our public events and policy initiatives by visiting our website, http://frenchamerican.org/. Our efforts are made possible through the support and participation of our friends and those who believe in promoting an important and relevant dialogue between France, the United States and Europe. As a non-governmental and non-profit organization, we rely on the financial support of individuals and corporations, about which you can learn more by visiting our website here. Beyond financial support, however, the moral and intellectual support of our vast and diverse constituency is invaluable. Your ideas, your promotion of the Foundation, and your ongoing involvement are key to the success of our work. As Mr. Kolb mentioned, we would be delighted to hear your ideas and suggestions for the work of the Foundation and how we can best contribute to transatlantic relations.

As we look forward to continuing our speaker series, we are in the process of organizing our calendar for the upcoming months. We hope to see you at the tentative speaker events in the works right now below, and will be sure to keep you apprised as details become available.
